Combining Eastern Meditation philosophy, including techniques such as mindfulness, and Christ Centered-Prayer Contemplative practices , with traditional counseling (“talk therapy”), I help the suffering seeker learn how to quiet the mind, become present in their lives and awaken to the deep sense of inner peace, calm and stillness inherent in, and always available to, each and every one of us.

What Is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness refers to the non-judgmental practice of giving full attention to your feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations in the present moment. It is a process that involves generating a pause and an awareness so that you can identify and accept your thoughts, feelings and emotions without reacting or losing control.
By working with a mindfulness counselor, you will gain insights on the relationship between stress triggers, beliefs and thoughts, feelings, as well as behaviors. Gaining that awareness will enable you to recognize and change patterns that do not benefit you!
Why Is Self-Compassion Important in Mindfulness Practice?
Self-compassion is a critical part of mindfulness. It fosters emotional and spiritual resilience. It helps you to respond to your difficult or complicated thoughts, feelings and senses with kindness, consideration and understanding.

Your counselor will implement various mindfulness-based counseling techniques to help you understand deep-rooted negative perceptions and behaviors that might be preventing you from living a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
By working with your mindfulness counselor, you will learn to develop more awareness of how your mental habits exacerbate mental health problems such as depression, stress, fear, anxiety and even addiction.
Mindfulness counseling will help you understand the relationship between your physical problems and mental health issues.
